Financial Opportunity Centers (FOC) and Bridges to Career Opportunities (BCO) are more complex programs than many organizations have provided in the past. The Resources section provides LISC staff and staff at partner organizations running an FOC or a BCO with a mix of materials, web sites and other resources. These resources can be useful to practitioners working with clients, administrators who keep the programs running, or both. For each topic, materials may fall into two broad categories:
Background resources that can give insight, advice and ideas. These run the gamut from a study that explains the research of the effectiveness of an approach to specific information about how to approach an important task, like creating an effective client flow.
Tools that can be directly used in the work at an FOC. These include templates for operations, guides for how to use programs such as Salesforce data collection, and resources that can be used in coaching by staff and/or clients to learn more about job opportunities, training options, saving and budgeting, government programs, etc.
