Below you will find links to two Skillbuilder pages: Math and Writing in the TDL context. These modules are created for adults considering, entering or advancing in Transportation, Distribution, Logistics (TDL) career pathways.
About these Modules

We built these modules with TDL job seekers in mind, each describing why these skills are important and how they might show up at work.
They go where you go.
These modules can be used in any order and anytime - if you're at home on the couch with your computer or on a coffee break on your phone.
Easy to tackle.
Modules walk you through what you need to know, step by step, with plenty of chances to practice and think.
Who are they for?
Maybe you have mastered basic math years – or maybe you have not ever felt confident in math skills. Either way, you may feel some anxiety about having to learn math and Writing in order to secure a TDL job – and you might be unclear of the role that math, reading, and writing actually play on-the-job.
You will get the most out of the Skillbuilder modules if you:
have a baseline of 6th grade reading for Writing and a 9th grade level for Math.
need additional support in select Math and Writing topics, beyond what’s offered in current programs.
have a complex schedule and need options to learn on your own time, at your own pace.
- will benefit from an additional boost of confidence and encouragement.

How do they work?
These modules have been designed with you and your needs in mind. With these modules, you will be able to:

TDL Skillsbuilder: Math
These field-test ready, virtual Math modules focus on key concepts of geometry, fractions, measurements, multiplication, decimals, and driving calculations.
They are meant to be completed independently but feel as if a tutor is right by your side.
Each module takes roughly 30-60 minutes to complete but may take more or less time depending on individual needs.

TDL Skillsbuilder: Writing
These field-test ready, virtual writing modules focus on key concepts of reading for understanding, note taking, annotating, and writing an essay all through TDL career exploration.
The Writing modules especially are appropriate for individuals who have already gone through a career and skills inventory process and might be suited to a career in the TDL industries.
There are points where you will be asked to stop and share your work with the teacher.
Each module will take from 1 to 2 hours to complete.
