Welcome
The Modules
The Warehouse Setting: Calculating Area and Perimeter On-the-Job | Set in a warehouse, you work through dimensions of shapes, practice calculating area and perimeter, and see a refresher of multiplication tables, before checking their work against the provided solutions at the end. |
Shipments and Inventory: Using Multiplication On-the-Job | Set in a shipping department, you will receive and count pallets of boxes, complete the delivery log and verify the correct amount of packages were received. TAKE ME THERE > |
Charts and More: Translating Decimals, Fractions and Percentages On-the-Job | A chart is a lot like a person. It holds information and it communicates that information in one or more languages. Just like a person can communicate in Spanish, Arabic, or English, a chart can communicate in fractions, decimals or percentages. This module helps you see the similarities among fractions, decimals, and percentages -- and helps you “translate” one to the other. TAKE ME THERE > |
Exact Measurements PART ONE: Reading and Writing Fractions On-the-Job | Tape measures and rulers seem simple to read, but it can get tricky pretty quickly. In this module, you will take a slow and steady look at fractions of an inch and mixed numbers to build these fundamental skills. |
Exact Measurements PART TWO: Adding and Subtracting Fractions On-the-Job | Assist Jim as he works to find accurate measurements. You are invited to practice adding and subtracting fractions when taking and reading accurate measurements. You will also work through equivalent fractions while referencing helpful resources at their fingertips. TAKE ME THERE > |
Riding Shotgun: Using Mileage Charts, Proportions and Distance Formulas to Complete Trucking Logs | The engine’s running, hop in. There are important deliveries to make and the clock is ticking...set in the passenger seat of a semi-cab, you interact with the driver to determine driving distance each day. |
